We’ve had the good fortune of being part of numerous RRC Contractor’s projects and they have been just a real pleasure to work with. We especially have benefited from their vast experience and knowledge. Their ability to coordinate with the other trades as well as with the owners staff has saved us both time & money. The owner benefits from this approach by obtaining a quality project on time and under budget. We value our relationship with RRC Contractors and look forward to being part of their team well into the future.

Background Information

CHOW market offers a unique culinary collection of local Boise food vendors, all under one roof. A balance of local market place, restaurant, and gathering place for people. Located in Meridian, it is a popular destination for locals and visitors who are looking for a unique dining experience.

The restaurant is housed in a historic building, and many people appreciate the unique character and charm that this brings to the dining experience. The CHOW menu is varied and features a mix of classic comfort foods and more adventurous fare. Standout dishes include the mac and cheese, the burgers, and the fried chicken sandwich. The restaurant also has a good selection of craft beers and cocktails. Boise locals recommend it as a great spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner, and appreciate the restaurant's commitment to using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.

Project Solution

RRC Contractors employed Design Build principles working for Chow Public Market and Eatery to construct their building. They were the single entity responsible for both the design and construction of the project at the Overland location in Boise. RRC Contractors worked closely with CHOW to identify their needs and understand their requirements for the building. This included identifying the type of facility needed, its location, size and capacity.

In developing a project design RRC Contractors created detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the project. The design reflected their specific needs acknowledging the type of restaurant CHOW planned to open, the equipment and fixture specifications, and any regulatory or environmental requirements.

RRC Contractors then obtained all the necessary zonal approvals and building and environmental permits from local authorities to align with regulations and proceed with the work. On receiving client and regulatory approvals RRC Contractors began the construction phase of the project, managing all aspects of the construction process such as site preparation, building construction, equipment installation and commissioning the facility respectively.

At all times RRC Contractors communicated closely and clearly with CHOW maintaining regular communication to ensure the project requirements were being met on time and within budget. RRC Contractors addressed any arising issues in a timely manner. In seeing the project through to completion the RRC Contractors ensured that the building met all of Chow Public Market and Eatery's requirements and was ready for occupancy.
