Background Information

With a heritage stretching back to 1866, Valvoline is one of the most enduring names in the automotive world. What began as a pioneering lubricants brand has evolved into one of North America's most recognised and rapidly expanding vehicle maintenance networks, operating more than 2,300 service centres across the United States and Canada and completing more than 30 million services annually. The company has twice been ranked the leading automotive services retailer in Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500, and holds a consistent position among Forbes' best customer service companies in the automotive sector. The stay-in-your-car service model is central to Valvoline's offering, designed around speed, transparency, and consistent service delivery across every location in its network.

Meridian, Idaho is a natural fit for Valvoline's continued westward expansion. As one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, Meridian's swelling population of commuters and families represents exactly the kind of convenience-driven, time-conscious customer base that Valvoline was built to serve. The new location at 4300 E Fairview Ave, Meridian, ID is a well-positioned addition to the brand's growing Treasure Valley footprint.

Project Solution

RRC Contractors brought their established expertise in automotive retail construction to the Valvoline Meridian project, delivering the 3,182 sq ft service centre through their General Contracting service. Having previously completed projects for Einstein's Oilery and Oil Changers, RRC arrived with a clear understanding of the operational and structural demands that define this building type — tight service bays, precise drainage requirements, and the kind of clean, efficient layout that keeps vehicles moving and customers satisfied.
Working from Valvoline's third-party architectural plans, RRC coordinated and executed every phase of the build, translating the brand's exacting specifications into a finished facility that is both functionally precise and visually sharp on one of Meridian's busiest commercial corridors.

General Contracting Process Highlights

Pre-Construction Review: RRC conducted a thorough assessment of all plans and specifications, ensuring full alignment with Meridian city codes and Valvoline's own brand standards before a single shovel broke ground.
Site Preparation: The project began with comprehensive site work, including land clearing, foundation excavation, and the installation of essential utility connections including water, electrical, and drainage infrastructure critical to the service centre's day-to-day operation.

Structural Build: RRC oversaw the full structural construction of the building, including steel framing, roofing, and exterior finishing, delivering the clean, contemporary aesthetic that Valvoline's customers recognise and trust.

Interior Fit-Out: Internal systems including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical were installed and coordinated across trades, with service bay configuration and finishing work completed to the brand's operational requirements.

Quality and Compliance: Final inspections were coordinated by RRC to confirm that every aspect of the build met applicable safety codes and Valvoline's handover standards, with all documentation compiled and delivered at project closeout.

Project Delivery: With the build complete and the keys handed over, Valvoline Instant Oil Change at 4300 E Fairview Ave opened its doors, ready to deliver the fast, trusted service that has made the brand a fixture of American motoring life.

Project Outcome

The Valvoline Meridian build adds another well-executed automotive retail project to an RRC portfolio that continues to grow in both breadth and reputation. For Valvoline, it represents another confident step in a national expansion story that shows no signs of slowing. For Meridian's residents, it means fast, reliable vehicle maintenance from a brand they already know and trust, housed in a facility built to the exacting standards that only an experienced local contractor could deliver
