Background Information


Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers was co-founded in 2002 by brothers Bill and Randy Simon with their friend and business partner and named in honor of Bill and Randy’s father. Freddy’s creates fresh, made-to-order, craveable food, served to our guests with genuine hospitality in a fun, inclusive environment. Freddy’s brand is built with a focus on quality, hospitality, cleanliness and timeless traditions.

Operating as a fast-casual restaurant chain, the chain is known for its burgers, fries, and frozen custard desserts. Freddy's offers their frozen custard with a wide variety of flavors to choose from. The atmosphere at Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is often described as fun and family-friendly, with a retro 1950s-style decor that adds to the nostalgic vibe with a friendly and efficient staff.

Project Solution


RRC Contractors used the General Contracting delivery method to work with Freddy's on the construction of its restaurant at Boise, Idaho. It was responsible for overseeing the construction of the project according to the plans and specifications provided by the owner and a third-party designer. RRC Contractors managed all aspects of the project, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontracting, and ensuring that the construction met Freddy's specifications.

General Contracting Steps Included


Initial Planning
Reviewing 3rd party plans and specifications to ensure that they met local building codes and regulations. Developing an agreed project plan, including a detailed construction schedule, budget, and list of subcontractors.

Contracting
Hiring subcontractors to perform the various aspects of the construction work, such as excavation, concrete work, framing, electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC.

Construction
Managing the construction process, including overseeing subcontractors, ensuring that the construction work was completed on schedule and within budget, and resolving any issues that arose during construction.

Communication
Coordinating with stakeholders throughout the project and maintaining regular communication with Freddy's to ensure that their needs were being met and that any issues were addressed promptly.

Delivering
Finishing the project to ensure that the new establishment met Freddy's specifications and was ready for occupancy. All of the above steps were completed on time, within budget, and to the clients satisfaction.
